Week 35 crop status

Our 12" Mums are coming along beautifully. We have been shipping a limited amount of 8" and 9" mum pots for the past two weeks and hope to be able to offer fall plant material to all customers in Week 36. 

Our Fall 2012 program includes cool crop vegetables in 8-04 packs and Papa Joe's herbs in 4" purple containers. Sweet Basil is grown in both sizes. Snapdragon "LaBella" is grown in 4.3" containers packed 10 pots in a tray. We produce this snap variety in five colors. 

Our poinsettias are scheduled to be available in November.

Fall season begins early at Sunbelt

Everyone at Sunbelt Greenhouses is preparing for the Fall and Poinsettia production cycles that will keep us busy until the end of 2012. We expect to begin shipping Mums after Labor Day.

Our outdoor fields are full of Garden Mums in four sizes. We increased our field capacity by 2 acres and installed a drip tape watering system throughout the nursery. This investment is paying off in lower labor costs, which allows us to maintain competitive pricing. Our covered fields are progressing nicely as well.Sunbelt's Pansies and Violas are transplanted, and the cool nighttime temperatures are certainly welcome! Our other fall production includes assorted annuals, herbs and vegetables, and accent plants and grasses. We will also have available combination containers, coco wire baskets and hanging baskets.
